instagram highlights from past workshops
In addition to my own work, I also lead workshops and courses on topics related to electronic music, instrument making, field recording, etc.
Here are some of my past workshops to view.
if interested
feel free to contact me. There are many topics on which I can conduct workshops. We will tailor the workshop to fit the participants, time, environment and topic.

Trash w/Honza Tomšů - AFO (2026)
The participants, together with me and Honza Tomšů, will dig through the piles of trash we brought and create something. What it will be, none of us knows in advance.

Do you know, children, why you are not allowed to play in the garbage dump and why adults forbid you to do so? And you, adults, why do you prefer to go to the store rather than to the recycling yard? Is it better to pick up a drill or a credit card?

Theremin (2021)
Every year, the PLATO modern art gallery asks one Ostrava artist to artistically depict a Christmas tree.
This year's variation on this theme was a workshop on making a "fuzz" sound effect in the shape of a Christmas tree and enclosed in a coconut. This was followed by a performance of all participants with their newly created instruments.
More information here

Coconuts used to be available in the Czech Republic only at Christmas, so for many they are still a symbol of an exclusive Christmas fruit, even though the countries of the tropical belt, from where the coconuts are imported, do not celebrate Christmas, they experience summer at that time and are rather unfamiliar with our Christmas prosperity and luxury. The coconut shell will be the starting material for the production of fuzz effects - sound instruments that oversaturate and distort the input sound signal. Similar to how winter holidays are oversaturated with consumerism, capitalist pressure and stress. So far from the desired winter gathering. Everyone will then take a piece of this common coconut Christmas tree home.

Lukov Scar (2025)
At the Scar hobby diy symposium in Lukov, I led a workshop on soldering my cucumber synth with the youngest generation.

This unique device designed by myself, powered by solar energy and responding to real-time environmental data – temperature, humidity, light – transforms weather conditions into sound. Encased in recycled materials, the creation has become a personal and expressive “sonic weapon” that reflects today’s urgent climate crisis.

OIIOIOOI - Stadt Wehlen, DE (2025)
A four-day intensive and extensive workshop for residents of the OUTSIDEININSIDEOUTINSIDEOUTOUTSIDEIN association.
During the course, we delved into the depths of analog electronics, various types of synthesis, soldering, designing our own circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs), and the artistic use of this knowledge.

The output of the workshop was a sound installation made from the instruments we built and my concert for these instruments at the C. Rockefeller Center for the Contemporary Arts in Dresden.

In a pickle - Lofofora Lom (2025)
Making your own "pickled" electronic musical instrument that never plays the same way twice! It's solar powered and reacts to temperature and light conditions.

A version of the workshop adapted to the conditions of the festival. An accelerated (but not lesser) version for everyone without previous experience.

Who Loves the Sun - MAMA Zagreb, HR (2025)
The two-day workshop offered hands-on experience with the basics of electronics – from reading and drawing basic circuit schematics to understanding and applying basic analog components and soldering.
Step by step, we learned how to solder and build our own synthesizer. At the same time, we understood how it works and how to use this knowledge in our future projects.
No prior knowledge was needed. Only curiosity, creativity and a pinch of rebellious spirit.

Solder-inc. - Lukovská jizva (2024)
A workshop on soldering sound devices designed for concerts, interference, virtuosity, and, above all, the exploration of the sound of a cart rolling downhill.

Making a fuzz effect, a simple audio amplifier, and contact microphones. All without PCBs.

Theremin (2021)
A private workshop on soldering a theremin – a touchless synthesizer on PCB.

FUZZ (2021)
Workshop on creating (not only) a guitar effect - fuzz. PCB-less

Contact mics & field recording - Lofofora lom (2024)
A contact microphone is essential equipment for every "bastler", sound engineer, musician and in fact everyone. A contact microphone to every family! Each participant made a microphone under my supervision. For participants without any previous experience!

Together we then walked around the flooded quarry and, under my guidance, penetrated into the hidden world of sounds spreading through matter, and from this fascination each participant recorded few short sounds. I then created a short improvised performance from these sounds.

Synthesizer making - The Academy of Fine Arts, Prague (2024)
Let's make an analog synth from scratch!
Electroacoustic music has its foundations inextricably linked to tinkering. A huge part of the audio technology that exists today, as well as the approaches to it, was created in the workshop of some passionate madwoman or madman, in which tons of burnt LEDs, wires and dead batteries are lying on the ground. Together we will learn how to discharge these batteries in style and how to burn the LED's, as well as how to avoid burning.
For participants without any previous experience!

The workshop consisted of:
- a short theoretical introduction to the history of electroacoustic music and its connection with the experimental construction of analog circuits
- introduction to electricity, circuits, electronics for complete beginners
- and especially how to build your own simple analog synthesizer, together with the knowledge of how it works and how to proceed further
- we ended it with a joint jam on our noise machines

Oscillator making (2021)
Oscillator - the basic building block of synthesizers and electronic music in general.
Together we learned how the oscillator works and built a cheap and readily available solderless version.
For participants without any previous experience!
